My first interest in photography was back in high school when we
used something called film.

Through the years I've focused on many subjects, with one of my
latest being covered bridges.

After photographing our covered bridges for years, I finally exhausted
my creative ways in capturing them...the last being infrared.

I needed something new.

I came across a book called The Art of Bird Photography by Arthur Morris.
This was the very first book I ever read from cover to cover without putting
it down. When I came to the end I knew I wanted to be a bird photographer.

That was 2006.

Since then I've been on IPT's (Instructional Photo Tours) led by Arthur Morris
and studied everything he has done and continues to do. I've captured images
from New York, Florida, Texas, New Mexico and Ohio.

I've been published in Lake Erie magazine and Birds & Bloom magazine and Popular Photography.

My work has also been shown in nature centers around the Cleveland area, where I also give
presentations and train beginners.

I've also self published a few books under the moniker 'Birds are People Too'.

In closing I like to remind people...I'm a bird photographer...not a bird watcher. So when
it comes to identifying birds, I'm not the greatest. So if you find a bird misidentifed on this
site...that's my excuse :)
